I have what i think are yellow jackets getting under the siding at the base of my house. Blocking their flight entrance in not wise because it forces the bees to find alternative exits which may be into the interior of your home around a light fixture for example. Follow where they seem to disappear into the side of your house. Locate the entrance through which the bees are entering your siding.

Bees can be annoying or even hazardous to us when they build their home near our own home. They aren t aggressive but this is happening right by the most used door of the house so it s probably just a matter of time before i piss them off. Just this summer i got my first sting from a bee where the colony had made its hive just under the first step of my mother s second story porch.
